Besides the onepiece bag
I also came up with the design for the 3 panel bag (for Rita Marley) and had 3 color bags in production years before T2 ever went that way..since I am boasting…first reflective tape on a sling bag (85 or 6), first clip-on -later loop -on loose reflectors(DANGLERS in my book tails in theres)—…
those reflectors have a good back story…
when I was 7 we toured on our bikes in europe in denmark we got these little metal reflective tags tied to a string that you pinned to your jacket -they had the stamp of the crown on them so I always thought that they were some sort of tax..my mum ,recently informed me that when we were there ,some sort of strike was going on and the street light were not in service , the reflectors were issued to cyclists as a stop gap safety issue.
When I started to sew reflective tape to the bags I remembered these thing and made a few, my girlriend drove a car behind me while we tested the effective ness of the different styles and brands of reflective tape.
..more boasting…the new T@ bags made of the reflective sign material is also old hat around the zo home…in the early 90’s a challenge was issued to the inner circle of riders and writers(graf) to be one of the first 10 to show up with a reflective road sign–the prize a bag for the first 10 peps in..the graf writers took the early lead with JUICE being the first but then racerX from king came in and the messengers got the next 3 or 4 bags in…that reflective fabric actually SUCKS for bags its just doesnt last..its like that billboard material -free- great but not worth the time whan you consider the durability..ok for a bum bag or a shopping bag but not effective for a sling bag(super heavy too)..anyway I better stop typing my head is about to pop..
