• Adidas Cycling Cyclone sweatshirt with “Flushin” instead of “Flushing” .

Initial evaluation by our research team indicated this as a bootleg.

Multiple copies were found through image search. Evaluation moved to European only release , seemingly of the same era as the Run DMC sweatshirt.

Both shirts contain a number of sewn elements with similar design.

Another sweatshirt contemporary to Run DMC – similar cut and sew.

Possible that this is a reprint with faux aging .

2014 Adidas re-release and redesign of Run DMC model , without cut and sewn elements .

Verdict: unknown. Usage of “Flushin” still unclear.

  • Memory Quest

I went to about 80% of these shows minus “live” and Fear. Some memories: Suburban Hoodz were white rappers from Bensalem . I think Headstrong was Tim Chunk’s band after Token Entry. Black Train Jack had Ernie from Token Entry and closed with a version of “The Edge”. The shudder to think record was on dischord -had a matte finish 2 or 3 color cover instead of the usual glossy. I think there was a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “crosstown traffic” on there. Tesco Vee’s Hate Police was The Meatmen , something about record contracts. Shelter always closed with Disengage, everyone went nuts . So many people, not me, got the burning pinwheel tattoo. Lifetime and Ressurection had 7”’s on New Age. Maybe lifetime put out the “ghost” 12” ep on an Italian label by then but didn’t really find the sound until “hello bastards” came out . The 108 CD was out but they didn’t seem to be a real band yet. Both those bands were singing about dealing with death. It was heavy for stuff that came out of the youth crew era of straight edge, I think that was the 2nd Green Day show the first one happening the summer before, The Bouncing Souls played funk rock and covered “Ball of Confusion” , sold clay 6 ball necklaces. Shades Apart seemed to play every show there. Maybe HR didn’t sing for the bad brains , could have been the Mr Bungle guy. They’d do a few Attitude era songs , maybe quickness and then an hour of reggae dub. the club was fizzing out around 94.

The bad brains and slapshot was one of the last shows I remember. That could have been HR but maybe not. I talked to Choke because I heard he was crazy with the hockey stick and stuff, he was reserved and was wearing glasses.

A lot of these bands were linked to the 80s and the hardcore scene and were signed to major label imprints. The kids wanted hardcore and the adults in a lot of these bands were holding on to the mystique but trying to be different or progressive.

Ok the last show I really remember was Endpoint. That guy was taking about how hardcore shouldn’t be on a stage and Randy Now got on the PA and told him he didn’t need to play if he didn’t want too.

Which takes me back to the first hardcore show I saw there that was supposed to be Sick of it All, Rest in Pieces and Burn. I don’t think RIP played, Discipline maybe ? There was so many fights. It was insanely violent. Randy kept getting on the PA saying “one more fight and this show is over” .

Kind of cool book ends of the club owner cutting into the set. All this happened over 5 years maybe but seemed like forever. Started in my freshman year of high school ended maybe a year after I graduated. By 95 the kids had taken over.

  • TAD
I feel the distance , maybe you missed it.
    Climbing Things
    Sitting and Standing
How many times ? The space between 1 and 2.

This week all the numbers got pumped up and all the riders worked to hit the top 10 of something .

    Goals for next week:

Distance: realistically you should be aiming for 160+ miles to hit the top 10. That’s 23 miles a day if you do 7 days. Roughly 27 miles a day for 6. 32 miles for 5 days. 513 for #1!

Elevation: 8600 is the new top 10 entry point . 7 day average needs to be 1229 ft. 6 day average is 1433 ft. 5 day average must be 1720 ft. 20,000+ for #1!

    Time: 13 hours is the goal to enter the time top 10. 7 days=1.9 hours a day. 6=2.1 5= 2.6 . 23 hours + hours for #1 .

Activities: 9 activities is the entry point. Idk you figure that out. 41 activities this includes things outside of riding , cross training, lifting weights, hiking, yoga, stretching, grappling, boxing I have no idea what you do but if its recorded it’s an activity. I’m on trail patrol and the way I feel I should be doing some recovery work for sure.

Anyway great work. If you are racing and/or podium placing let the team or me know. That’s on Strava or GSLandlords@proton.me .
